SUMMARY:Oxford and Cambridge Monthly Drinks
DESCRIPTION:  \nANOTHER IMPORTANT UPDATE \nFollowing various issues arising in the organisation of Monthly Drinks over the last three months\, we are in the process of carrying out a full review of the organisation of this event\, and in particular on which day of the week and at what venue. We intend to complete this update in time for the September Monthly Drinks. \nIn the meantime\, July and August drinks are being organised on an “ad-hoc” basis so times\, dates and venues may well change. \nJuly Monthly Drinks \nwill take place on Wednesday 8th July from 6h30 pm \nLight or Dark Blues ? \nSocial evening with live music – Blues guitar and ECLECTIFY \nat Le Maatcha Café\, 10 rue la Boétie Paris 8 \n \nMetros : St Augustin (lines 9\, 14) / Miromesnil (9\, 13). SNCF St Lazare \nAll Oxford and Cambridge Alumni\, whether or not members of the Paris Societies\, are cordially invited to join us for our Monthly drinks get-together at this centrally located café- very close to Saint Lazare and various metros.\n\n\nThis is a “drop in if you are free” event – there is no need to book and you are welcome to bring a non-Oxbridge friend. If you don’t find us ask the staff where we can be found. \nDetails of the time\, date and place of August drinks will be published here when they have been settled.

SUMMARY:The Society's 30th Anniversary celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Cambridge Society of Paris is 30 years old this year \nThe Cambridge Society of Paris 1901 Association was registered on 28th August 1996. We will be celebrating this milestone with a fun event on Saturday 12th September at the Standard Athletic Club in Meudon. \nCome along at 2 pm for a welcome drink. At 3 pm\, we will be organising games\, such as an egg and spoon race\, a sack race\, tug-of-war\, and other vintage games. “High Tea”\, with scones\, cakes and sandwiches\, will be served at 4:30 pm and prizes for the games will be awarded at 5:30 pm. The Standard Athletic Club will then open its sports facilities (tennis\, squash\,… – but not the swimming pool) from 6 pm to 8 pm. \nYou are welcome to come with your families\, as kids’ versions of the games will be available. \nTickets are €35 per person (€20 for children aged 7 to 14\, free for children under 7) and can be booked through the “Tickets” link below. \nSo do come along and celebrate our 30 years in style. \n
