DESCRIPTION:Tackling climate change with entrepreneurship\n The story of the venture builder Carbon 13\nCarbon 13 is a new accelerator based in Cambridge which focuses on delivering new ventures capable of reducing CO2(e) by > 10 million tonnes each (Carbon13 – The Venture Builder for the Climate Emergency). \n\n \n\nChris Coleridge\, CEO and founder of C13\, will join us to present his vision for this unique accelerator program and the progress to date. You will also have a unique opportunity to hear about some of the exciting ventures already formed as part of cohort 1 which started in March 2021. \n\nReed Walker\, is co-founder of Agreed Earth\, helping farmers profit\, naturally\, by building the data hub of regenerative agriculture. Backed by Carbon13. \n \nNicolas Nouvel is a member of the Committee of the Cambridge Society. “I am about to embark on a fantastic adventure to co-create a business with significant impact on GHG emissions. Joining the second cohort of the phenomenal Cambridge-based accelerator Carbon13 is an honour and a privilege. DESCRIPTION:The Society’s fifth quarterly virtual meeting to debate topics considered to be of interest by the participants\, proposed in advance\, will be held on Wednesday 2Oth October 2021 from 8pm to 9pm. Places will be limited to a maximum of 20 so everyone is able to have their say on each topic. \nThe critical thing is to have a range of interesting topics\, which is down to you please. The topics can be on almost any subject – topical\, scientific\, philosophical\, serious or amusing\, it is up to you to suggest what you would like to discuss. Having thought of ideas\, please include them in your booking form\, or if you come up with an idea later\, you can send your contributions directly to Terry Quinn on president@camsocparis.org. Terry will then compère the event. \nThis event will be hosted on Zoom. A meeting link will be sent to all registered attendees two or three days in advance of the event.
